Ben is from South Jersey and went to Gordon College in Wenham, MA. Ben and Alison were married in 2009 and are parents to Johnny, Mackie, Ruthie, and Mary. After college, Ben joined the Marine Corps and served for just under 8 years. ​

Ben and Alison both attended Covenant Seminary in St. Louis. Ben completed the MDiv degree, and Alison an M.A. in Theological Studies. After graduating in 2021, Ben accepted a call to serve as a Church Planter in Niantic, CT with the Presbyterian Church in America.
